we recorded two songs earlier. two songs in three hours. my god. we did it in jazz’s studio/place thing. he’s sonny nicolas’ kid ehe. i dont really know sonny nicolas, but according to my dad, he was a pretty cool guitarist, jazzy (that would explain jazz’s nomenclature.)
anyways, the recording itself was terrible. of course, i blame no one since it’s the first time we’ve even HELD a bass guitar, and our drummer isnt really a drummer ^^; my dad stepped in and did some session guitar playing for us, so it DOES sound a bit cool, although the two songs definitely need a lot of work. oh well.
oh, and he knows you, richie
i seem to have gotten a bit of inspiration back. and it’s weird cause i can only write when im broken-hearted.
some stats:
heartbreaks occured: 1

richie: i cant seem to find the "inky" cd @,@ but il trade you one of our unfinished demos, is that ok? or i could just pay for the copy ^.^
i was just thinking.. in a really romantic, class, tasteful setting.. with a singer and a real band backing him up singing classic love songs.. would i rather be the couple, lost in the world the singer and setting’s created? or would i rather be the singer, being part of everybody’s world, and in a sense, "getting off" with everybody?
whatever. school tomorrow, national bookstore today.
my sampaguita tree:
i usually do the locking up here at home, and during the summer, it’s really great. there’s a sampaguita tree right beside our gate, and when i lock up, i usually stay there for a while. summer really brings out the best scents from that tree
i stayed about half an hour swingin in the hammock a few feet away from the tree Ü Ü Ü
frank:
i also fixed my desk, which is a REAL mess, just like most of my stuff hehehe.. lots of memorabilia, so i decided i needed some music in the background.. and so, i fish out frank sinatra’s romance album from my dad’s den. im on track 9 and i havent heard a song i didnt like yet
very cool.
every chapter of my life, ive always had this playlist to go along with it.. i dunno, i just really need the music. it was really really cool.. listenin to the playlist of a certain chapter really brings back memries. so much that sometimes i cant help wanting to go back to the said chapter
the songs on the playlist dont really have to be about what’s happening to me, or what im feeling. a playlist for me is a collection of gifts from the guys who wrote the songs.
right now, im starting college. and this is the playlist i’ve chosen:
more than a feeling - boston
jimmy loves mary-anne - looking glass
im not in love - 10cc
simply jesse - rex smith
oh, lori - alessi brothers
hot rod hearts - robbie dupree
i just wanna stop - gino vanelli
crazy love - poco
steal away - robbie dupree
what a fool believes - doobie brothers
reminiscing - little river band
ive been looking for old-senti songs, or maybe sad songs or.. well, you get what i mean, to burn a cd! so far, ive got 40 mins worth of:
james ingram, dan hill, ric segreto, etc.
i need at least 25 mins more so i wont feel like the blank cd’s a waste.. sooo.. cmon people, gimme songs XD
RO:
looks cool heheh. les go! >D
